Mount Lindesay lies approximately 200 km south of
Brisbane,
Australia. It is one of a number of peaks in the
McPherson Range.
The mountain is a multi-tiered peak similar to a wedding cake and is covered in thick dense
rainforest. The summit isn't the remains of an
extinct volcano as its appearance might first suggest.
The park is dissected by the New South Wales-Queensland state border. The area is protected within
Mount Barney National Park in Queensland and
Border Ranges National Park in New South Wales. To get to the top requires some very steep
rockclimbing.
The
Mount Lindesay Highway passes close to Mount Lindesay.
